ROCKS update
Three of the Prairie ROCKS students attended the Idaho Catholic Youth Convention last weekend. These students were the Prairie ROCKS speakers this week. All students agreed that this was a very spiritual event for them. They attended mass, had the opportunity to go to confession, prayed the rosary together, listened to saint stories and had adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The speakers were interesting and dynamic. In addition to all of this, they enjoyed the praise and worship band. One student also participated in a talent contest. These three students all agreed that the most profound thing about the convention was to be amongst over 1000 other teens who were excited about Jesus and the Catholic faith. When asked if they would choose to return to ICYC next year or encourage a friend to attend, the answer was a definite "Yes!" |
