to take position in Couer d'Alene
Casey Meza, CEO, St. Mary's and Clearwater Valley Hospitals and Clinics, has accepted the Executive Director of Regional Services position with Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene, ID. Meza will remain at CVHC and SMH until mid-June. As Executive Director, Meza will be responsible for expanding Kootenai Health's network throughout the ten counties of North and Central Idaho. She will be instrumental in developing the Regional Services Division within the hospital allowing Kootenai Health to align with outlying hospitals and clinics. Meza's position will improve patient care through a strengthened regional healthcare system. She will provide overall direction through analysis of patient needs and business objectives; developing, communicating, supporting and implementing business strategies, plans and practices. Meza has been with SMH/CVHC, members of the Essentia Health Network, since 1986. She began as the Foundation Director at SMH transitioning into the CEO role in 1990. She became combined SMH and CVHC CEO in 1998. CVHC and SMH will be working with Essentia Health in Duluth, MN to recruit a new joint CEO. According to the joint Board of Directors, applications will be accepted locally as well as nationally to find the most capable person for this position. Meza will work with all the hospitals within the ten counties, including SMH and CVHC who were named the Outstanding Rural Healthcare Organization last year by the National Rural Healthcare Association. |
