ROCKS update
The Prairie ROCKS speakers on Monday were Shawn and Johanna Stubbers. This delightful couple described how they made a conscious decision to put God at the center of their married life. This decision has allowed them to build their marriage and family life on a rock-solid foundation. Shawn and Johanna encouraged the students to make the choice to live Christ-centered lives as opposed to self-centered lives. They also advised reflecting on the Passion of Christ as a means to keep our own life difficulties in perspective. Their talk inspired our class to carry a heavy wooden cross as we walked and prayed the Stations of the Cross up the path at the Monastery of St. Gertrude on the day following their visit. |
