We are very excited to announce new medical spa services available at the Kamiah Medical Clinic. These services will be offered by Brenda Hewlett, FNP. The services will include fillers, medical grade skin peels, and Botox injections. An introduction to the available services will be presented at the Open House on Thursday, April 19thhosted by the Kamiah Medical Clinic, 6:30-8:00 p.m. Refreshments including fruit, cheese, and wine will be available for your enjoyment. Educational handouts will be available along with door prizes for discounted spa services. “Dermal fillers are used to correct deep facial wrinkles and folds,” says Hewlett. “I will be using the product Juvederm Ultra. This dermal filler is Hyaluronic Acid which is a natural occurring carbohydrate substance found in all living organisms. Juvederm is a smooth consistency gel giving instant results lasting six months or longer.” Hewlett continues, “medical-grade skin peels rejuvenate the skin by removing dead skin cells and stimulating new skin cell growth. Skin peels can correct fine lines and wrinkles, large pores, and uneven skin color/tones caused by sun, age, and hormone changes. Skin peels can treat acne and minor scarring caused by acne. Chemical peels can be applied anywhere on the body but mostly used on the face and upper chest. The medical grade skin peels produce skin which is more radiant, taut, and more uniform in texture and color. This produces a younger appearance with just a few series of treatments.” “Botox Cosmetic is a muscle-relaxing treatment used to soften the wrinkles on the forehead, brow, and eye areas. Results are seen within two to three days and can last up to four months. Botox has been used medically since 1989.” “The product Latisse will also be offered. This is a treatment applied at home producing thicker, longer eyelashes,” says Hewlett. Brenda Hewlett has been practicing family medicine for over 14 years and is very happy to add these Medical Spa treatments to her practice. “I am very excited to be able to offer these services to our community.
