Ruth Greiner, CNA was recently named as April’s Employee of the Month for St. Mary’s Hospital. Ruth has been employed as a CNA for SMH since April of 1998. “I am nominating Ruth because she is responsible, caring, quick, and thorough, everyone loves working with her,” said one of her co-workers. “She is loyal and rarely misses work and if she does you know she is really sick. I love working with Ruth, I can count on the job getting done the right way. She usually has everything completed without being asked; she just does it. Plus she is a lot of fun to work with.” Ruth’s main responsibility as a CNA is the basic general care of the patients which includes but not limited to; taking their vitals, feeding and bathing them. “I started out wanting to be a nurse; I went into the profession to see if I would like it and decided I liked being a CNA the best so I stayed with it for nine years,” commented Greiner. “I did however work for the Forest Service; three years on the water shed crew and six years on the fire crew, but then came back to CNA work.” “I like getting to meet people and taking care of them,” said Greiner when asked what she liked most about her job. “I also like my co-workers, they are great.” Ruth comes from a large family with three brothers and eight sisters and numerous nieces, nephews, and also great nieces and nephews. She was raised in Oregon and enjoys gardening, painting and working with wool. |
