time for music department
The Cottonwood S.D. 242 music department is proud to announce that all three of the school music ensembles, PHS Band, Choir, and Prairie Middle School Band recently made a clean sweep of Superior Ratings at the annual District II Regional Music Festivals! Both the High School and Middle School Band scored within one point of perfect sight reading skills!!! The Prairie Jr. and Sr. H.S. Bands will also be participating in Music Festivals Northwest at Coeur D’Alene H.S. on Saturday, May 19th and will enjoy the remainder of the day celebrating an outstanding performance year by taking in the amusement rides at Silverwood Park. The music department would appreciate any financial support that organizations, businesses, and/or individuals would like to donate to defray the cost of this event. Please contact the PHS office in the event you would like to make a donation. Every little bit helps! Also, Mr. Eynon is looking for an adult volunteer who would be willing to drive a pickup truck hauling school instruments to Coeur D’Alene to make room for the 42 students riding on the bus. The music department will cover the gas expense, park entrance fee, and a dinner for the volunteer. Don’t forget the Prairie Jr. Sr. H.S. Spring Concert which will be held on Tuesday, May 22nd 7:00 p.m. at the PHS Gym. (Donations will be gratefully accepted at the concert) |
