Grangeville Horizons Recreation will be presenting a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament Saturday, July 21. Action begins at 8:30 a.m. at Grangeville Heritage Square. Pre-registration fee is $60. You can get entry forms at the US Bank in Grangeville or download from www.grangevillehorizons.org. The tournament is for those in 5th grade through adult and is broken down into age groups. No entries will be accepted after July 18th. The Grangeville Lions Club is also sponsoring the event. Registrations open for Fun Run/Walk Registrations are open for the Raspberry Festival 10K Fun Run and 5K Walk that kicks off the day of family fun on August 5 at the 20th Annual Raspberry Festival at the Monastery of St. Gertrude, 465 Keuterville Road, in Cottonwood. Beginning at 8 am in front of the Historical Museum at St. Gertrude, the course follows an out-and-back route on a quiet, paved country road. The stretch offers views of the Seven Devils mountains, Salmon River breaks, Gospel-Hump Wilderness Area and the Camas Prairie, making the Raspberry Festival Fun Run one of the most scenic running/walking events in Idaho. Water and refreshments will be provided. Enjoy the Pancake Breakfast served 8-10 a.m. outside the Museum, featuring pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs. Entry fees are $15 if submitted by August 1 and $18 afterwards, including the day of the race. Registered runners and walkers will receive a commemorative festival T-shirt. The 20th Annual Raspberry Festival is a fundraising event for the Historical Museum at St. Gertrude and includes an arts and crafts fair, kids carnival, live entertainment, Raspberry Shortcake, BBQ beef sandwiches, Chapel tours, museum visits, cultural demonstrations, and more.
