Riley
Way on state championship team
For the second straight year, Riley Way, grandson of Hank and Marie Lerandeau, and son of Linc & Heather Way of Lewiston, is on his way to the Regional Championship in baseball. Last year, he and his team made the trip to San Bernardino, California for the Regional tournament for Little League. This year, he and his teammates are playing in the 13U Babe Ruth Regional tournament being held in Meridian, ID. To get there, they participated in the State Tournament held July 19th, 20th and 21st in Moscow, ID, where they went through the tournament undefeated on their way to the first place trophy and #1 Seed designation. They will take on Wyoming in the 8:00 AM Pacific time game. On the line is a trip to the Babe Ruth World Series which will be held in Seattle at a later date in August. Riley plays shortstop and also pitches. He was awarded MVP for his team for two of the games played in Moscow. Needless to say, his grandparents are very proud of him and his team!!!
