Cottonwood City Park was full of tents and bicycles Monday evening as over 250 cyclists with Ride Idaho spent the night here. Click on the photo for a  larger view.

The 1962 graduates of St. Gertrude's Academy gathered for a 50th reunion at the Red Lion Hotel in Lewiston on July 28, 2012. The banquet room was decorated in the school colors of marine blue and gold. A memory table displayed annuals, pictures, Signal--school newspapers from '62, and memory artifacts of 50 years ago. Among the well-preserved artifacts were 27 classmates who enjoyed a great evening of dinner, visiting and sharing of past memories and updates since the last reunion. Pictured are three generations of Walt and Edna Ruhoff’s family who participated in a Pancreatic Cancer fund raising bike ride and walk in Couer’ D Alene, Idaho on July 21st.  The Walt Ruhoff team was 2nd highest fund raiser and included three of his children, two grandchildren, and  one great grandson .  Walt Ruhoff, a former mayor of Cottonwood, fought this disease and much  progress is being made in research and treatment thanks to events such as these that educate and raise funds and awareness nationwide. It shows hogs delivered from Greencreek and Winona to Cottonwood on May 6, 1912.  Delivering hogs were (as spelled on the photo) E. Rtannedecker, B. Studer, W. Blume, H. Wassmuth, G. Kilmer, J. Morris, E.L. Johnson, T. Blume, F. Henklman, C.W. Nuxall, R.L. Starnes, F. Ptannezecker, E. Miller and Mathies E. Duclos. They were purchased by J. Baer for E. Stanton Co. of Spokane.
