County Fair Royalty is Best of Show at Parade
The Idaho County Fair Royalty Float was named Best of Show at the 2012 Idaho County Fair Parade. Other results are as follows: Commercial Entries: 1st - Arnzen Drug 2nd - Bud’s Saw Service 3rd - Cottonwood Credit Union Royalty Entries 1st - Idaho County Fair Royalty 2nd - Lewis County Fair Royalty 3rd - Lewiston’s Distinguished Young Women Equestrian Entries 1st - Keuterville Kids 2nd - AssPaloosa Pack String Non-Profit 1st - Keuterville Livestock 2nd - VFW 3rd - Indoor-Outdoor 4-H Club Keuterville Livestock 4-H Club’s entry was judged as the winner in the non-profit category in the parade. The VFW/American Legion color guard led off the Idaho County Fair Parade. Arnzen Drug was the top winner in the commercial division at the Parade. The Lewis County Fair royalty float took second in the royalty division. Greencreek Active Workers 4-H Club rode a boat through the parade. In this 100th year of 4-H they are the oldest continuously active club in Idaho County having been started in 1934. There weren’t many equestrian entries in the parade this year. This entry, Keuterville Kids, was the category winner. The riderless horse is in memory of George Geis. The PHS band got to ride through the parade. LaRoy and Joan Kidder, grand marshals, got to ride in a buggy. Youngsters scrambled after candy tossed out by most of the parade entrants. |
