Deiss honored
Lydia Deiss, counselor in the Cottonwood School District was honored at the fall counseling meetings held at Lewis Clark State College. The award, presented by the Idaho Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers, was the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of service, dedication, support and advancement of students and higher education. Rachel Peasley, a representative for Lewis Clark State College stated “as if Mrs. Deiss’ longevity isn’t impressive enough, she knows every student’s first and last name in her district – kindergarten through seniors. In addition, she is always patient, kind and supportive of her students, and you can’t find her without finding several students in her office enjoying M & M’s and sharing stories!” Lydia Deiss has been in education for nearly 30 years, the past 16 years have been with the Cottonwood District. |
