The Prairie Community Library display (above) was the winner in the Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce’s Business Scarecrow Decoration Contest with 13 votes submitted on the Chamber’s Facebook page. Tied for 2nd place with 6 votes each were the Cottonwood Credit Union, Harman Agency and St. Mary's Hospital. Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote. Click on the photo for a larger view.  Troop 638 visited the Lewiston Corn Maze on Oct. 27. They were able to find their way through the maze in the dark. Matt Coppernoll went along with the troop to fulfill one of his requirements as a Webelo Scout. LtJG Brennda Frei, daughter of Craig and Shari Frei, Hayden, attended Officer Development School at Newport, Rhode Island, in February.  She is a nurse at National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland.  Brennda is a 2005 graduate of Coeur d’Alene High School and a 2009 graduate of Lewis Clark State College.



 There was a 3-way tie for second place in the Scarecrow display contest between, from top down, Cottonwood Credit Union, Harman Agency and St. Mary's Hospital and Clinics. Click  on the photos for larger views.
