activities for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth in Christ As one season turns into another we reflect on the blessings both past and present. It’s a time to be grateful for all that God has given us. Our response is important; therefore you are invited to join us this month in our November youth activities as we focus on being thankful through prayer, fun, retreat, service, catechesis, and socials. We always look forward to seeing what God has in store for us we come together to celebrate who we are as a young church. We will begin the month with an invitation to Adoration at St. Mary’s on Nov. 2nd @ 10:00 p.m. All youth and adult leaders are invited to join me during this sacred time of worship and prayer. On Nov. 5th we will continue our Bible Study session @ 6:30 p.m. in Debbie’s office. We will begin with pizza then start our session with 1 Samuel 22. On Nov. 7th @ 7:00 p.m. all H.S. youth are invited to the OMG room to help organize and plan for Thanksgiving basket delivery. On Nov.13th the H.S. girls will meet @ Jitters @ 3:30 p.m. to discuss our first chapter of our book, “How to find your Soul Mate without Losing your Soul”. On Nov. 14th @ 7:00 the Jr. High and High School youth are invited to our monthly themed movie night of “Star Wars”. Please note that you are asked to dress according to the movie theme. Snacks and drinks will be provided and prizes awarded! The NC deanery youth ministers will be hosting a leadership retreat beginning on Nov. 17th @ 9.30 @ the CEC building. All interested H.S. youth please contact Debbie by Nov. 2nd. The retreat will end on Nov. 18th @ 1:30 p.m. The cost is $35.00. You will need to bring a snack and breakfast items to share. You will also need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow. On Nov.18th Confirmation prep class will meet @ the High School Release Time Building @ 7:00 p.m. Please bring your assignments and journal. On Nov 20th the H.S. youth will meet @ 5:00 p.m. to make and deliver Thanksgiving baskets. Please don’t be late! No youth group on Wed. Nov. 21st. Please note that there is a Thanksgiving Mass On Nov. 21st @ 6:30 p.m. @ St. Anthony’s Church and one on Nov. 22nd @ St. Mary’s at 9:00 a.m. Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving! The Haiti 2016 Mission team will meet at the OMG room at 7:00 p.m. to plan our future fundraisers. On Nov. 27th the girls book club will meet at Jitters at 3:30 to discuss chapter 2 of our book. All Jr. High and High School youth are invited to our REACH session at the OMG room at 6:30, our theme for the night will be “youth and sexual harassment”. Our peer leaders will be Beth Dinning and Clark Bruno. I hope that you join us and remember it is through active participation that we truly live out God’s call of love for our families, Church, and community.
