Letters to the editor from this week's Chronicle:

Dear Editor
The bro-in-law strikes again!!!! Most of us have them, you know.   What would we do without them? But this particular one is aggravating me into becoming a Zombie......Its because I have to stay up so late reading those Cottonwood history books, that I am getting just plain weary and a bit crotchety!!!!
Don Hoene, You did a marvelous job on the Cottonwood History books!!!!
Your loving sister-in-law.....

Letter to the Editor:
I feel that a statement in my October 17 Letter to the Editor was misunderstood.  I was not insinuating that teachers know their students better than their parents do.
The statement was:  “Who knows better the issues that your children deal with than the teachers who see them daily.”  In that statement I was referring to legislators and legislation not parents.  In no way did I mean the statement as a slam against parents.  Please do not misconstrue my words.  Every public school teacher, including myself, realizes the importance of parents as role models and speakers for their children’s education.  I have always held the utmost respect for parents who care so passionately about their children’s education.
