The Kindness Rocks group at Prairie Elementary School will be sponsoring a food drive to replenish the food bank shelves. Each grade will bring a designated food item. The food drive will begin January 28th and continue through February 14. Kindergarten: canned fruits 1st: canned veggies. 2nd: pasta/rice/sauces 3rd: canned meats (tuna/chicken/ham/ravioli) 4th: baking mixes(brownies, muffins, pancake, cake) 5th: juices(canned or bottled or packets) 6th: packaged meals (hamburger helper/mac and cheese) and canned refried beans teachers: personal items/home supplies Boxes will be in each classroom. The Kindness Rocks Officers are Jordyn Higgins, Emma Gehring and Kodie Tidwell. Their advisor is Colleen Sonnen. The group sponsors a monthly service project for the school to participate in, allowing each student a chance to show their kindness and compassion for others in the community. |
