On Thursday, January 10th Christina Richardson, Kamiah Physical Therapy, accepted the Medical Partner Award on behalf of St. Mary’s and Clearwater Valley Hospital and Clinics. Lady Pirates win 2 of 3 at District, to play Troy Friday at 7:30 p.m.
The Prairie Lady Pirates played 3 games in the District Tournament in the past week opening with a 42-21 win over Genesee on Thursday, Jan. 31, then losing to Lapwai 33-59 on Saturday. Monday, Feb. 4, they clobbered Clearwater Valley 68-35 to stay alive in the tournament. Prairie will play Troy Friday, Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the third place game. If they win that they would travel to St. Maries on Saturday, Feb. 9 to play the District 1 champion for a berth at State. . . .

Summit girls out in 2 at District; Summit boys lose to Kendrick; Boys start District Feb. 11
The Summit Lady Patriots were eliminated after two games at District as they lost to Nezperce 20-24 on Tuesday, Jan. 29 and to Highland 29-40 on Saturday, Feb. 2. . . .
The Summit boys had just 1 game this past week, a league battle against Kendrick at Cottonwood at which Summit came out on the short end of a 40-60 score Thursday, Jan. 31. . . .
The Summit Patriots will open District play Monday, Feb. 11. After beating Timberline Tuesday, Feb. 5, they are the #4 seed into District and will play Timberline again at 6 p.m. Monday.  . . .

Mager Bargains on Main Street in Cottonwood recently added a new building. The photos above show the outside and the inside. They moved most of their furniture into the new building. John Mager, who owns the business with his wife Denise, said it works much better than the tarped carports they were using before. Click on the photos for larger views.
