for Life kickoff event is Saturday
Whoo Hoo!! It's time for our 2013 American Cancer Society Relay For Life event to be held in the beautiful community of Kamiah, Idaho! They have such a wonderful facility at their Kamiah Kub Stadium which will make for an easy parking, easy access event with on-site concession stand and restrooms. This year's planning committee made up of Kamiah community members Joanne Ketchum, Candy Throop, and their chairperson's along with Event Co-Chairs Carolyn & Bob Haning and Tami Quick are having fun planning this year's "My Redneck Relay" which is this year's theme, so let your imagination run wild! This will be an easy team captain planning Relay. The 2013 ACS Clearwater To Salmon Rivers planning committee met Monday, March 4th to set the schedule of events leading up to and including the main event July 19th and 20th. "We are ready to rumble" as Tami Quick, Co-Chair, quotes. The Kamiah Committee knows how to plan a party and all the teams can begin to prepare by attending the Kick-Off which will be held at the Kamiah Chamber Of Commerce Building at 518 Main Street. Joann and Candy have some fun things planned for the outside area as well as some really cool stuff inside. The event will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday March 16, 2013 with a delicious luncheon buffet featuring some authentic redneck cuisine. You all know what a wonderful cook Joann is, you know that this will be an amazing meal! The buffet will be followed by a social time. We will have a lot of information for teams and sponsors as well as a chance to pick up some redneck t shirts and other goodies that the various teams will be selling. At 1:30 pm there will be a short program with entertainment, guest speakers, door prizes, and games. This will be a really fun afternoon and a great way to kick off the 2013 relay. Gather up your friends and come down to beautiful Kamiah and work to find a cure for this horrible thing called cancer.
