School Showcase is March 27
Spring is upon us and the staff at Prairie Jr/Sr High School will again present its annual Showcase Night on Wednesday, March 27, 2013. We invite all students and their parents/guardians to our Showcase Night where we will have an opportunity to show examples of outstanding work students have completed during the school year. Community members are also welcome. All of our teachers will be providing exhibits, plus several of our music students will be performing during the evening. Prizes will be given away and GEARUP will again be providing a dinner for us as we enjoy the student’s musical performances. Overall, it will be an outstanding evening for all and we invite you to join us. Below is an itinerary for the evening: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM Exhibits on 1st ,2nd , and 3rd floors of Prairie Jr/Sr High School Free dinner in cafeteria Music students will perform in the cafeteria (5:30 PM – 6:30 PM) Drawings will be held at the end of the evening* Junior students and parents will meet to discuss the Senior Project (7:30-8:15 PM)*** *Any student who is accompanied by a parent/guardian to the Showcase Night will be eligible for a drawing. Parents, please make sure you sign in at the library to be put into the drawing (you do not have to be present at the time of the drawing to win). As a thank you to the community for donations to the quilting class, we will have a drawing for a quilt. Any parent/guardian who wants to be considered in the drawing needs to stop in person in the library to enter your name for the drawing. In addition, the sewing classes will have finished projects and works in progress on display for your viewing. A second drawing will be held for a Prodigy Tablet. Once again, parents may enter this drawing in the library. At 7:15 p.m. all parents and students will report to the high school cafeteria for a Cottonwood School District Highlight Video and the drawings for the prizes. Junior/Parent night at PJHS All juniors and parents are asked to attend a meeting on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the Senior Project for school year 2013-2014. All senior students must complete a Senior Project to be eligible for graduation. This meeting will follow the Showcase Night at the High School and will be held in the cafeteria. |
