End of school always means shifting into a higher gear just to keep up. There are so many activities and events happening around the area keeping everyone very busy. Congratulations to students from Prairie and Summit for their participation in sports and the high academic scores. You are all winners and hard work does pay off. Down in the Library we have been receiving a great selection of new books and Authors. There are too many to list. Come see what is available. In the Young Adult and Children’s area, there are many new Caldecott and Newbry books along with a variety of popular best sellers. Summer reading will begin Thursday, June 13 and continue each Thursday through July 26 with the exception of July 4. The theme this year is “Dig into Reading” and should provide interesting activities. New for the Adult reader is a wide variety of authors and titles. Also available are Large Print books along with books on tape. If there is a certain book that is not available, the Library can request it from the State Library in Boise and it will be available within a few days. Inquire if you are interested. Also available is internet, fax and copy machine. Do you need a last minute gift? A nice selection of nearly new books are available for sale at a very reasonable price. October 26.th will be the fifth Annual Bräts and Brew Library fund raiser. Returning by popular demand is the Coffey Twins and the Satins. The event was moved ahead two weeks due to a conflict in scheduling. |
