Safety Day set for June 1
The annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Day has been scheduled for Saturday, June 1 at the Lewis County Fairgrounds in Nezperce. The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with lunch, snacks, safety goody bag, t-shirts and educational materials provided. The day is for youth ages 5 to 12 (5 years of age by Sept. 1, 2013). Registration fee is $5/child or $10/family. Registration forms are available at various locations or by contacting Marci Stapleton in Nezperce, 937-2348. Registration is due by Wednesday, May 29. Late registration will be accepted provided space is available as registration is limited to 120 participants. The Ag Safety Day will cover: PTOs and how dangerous they can be; ATV safety and why helmets are important; First Aid; Camp site safety (new station); Fire Safety; Germ City; plus many other fun-filled learning sessions. |
