to graduate Friday at PHS
There will be 44 students graduating this Friday, May 24, at Prairie High School with half of them earning a 3.5 or high grade point average for their years in high school. There are 6 valedictorians all earning perfect 4.0 averages. They are Ashley Cannon, Logan Dahlen, Kaden Perrin, Shaney Perrin, Tanna Schlader and Claire Whitley. Salutatorian with a 3.98 gpa is Frank Spencer. Another 15 students are graduating with high honors (3.5 or higher gpa). They are Amanda Dinning, Kody Duclos, Alex Duman, Rachel Falzon, Cheryl Gehring, Stephanie Gimmeson, Taylor Heitman, Marcus Higgins, Christopher Hoene, Matthew Jungert, Tyler Latimer, Tannor Ratcliff, Kelsey Tidwell and Shelby VonBargen. 11 more students are graduating with honors (3.0-3.5 gpa). They are Seth Chaffee, Martine Everson, Andrea Kaschmitter, Levi Lustig, Callie Mader, Mackenzie Rieman, Brooke Schumacher, Tiffany Stinson, Cassidy Stubbers, Damian McWilliams and Tyler Workman. Also earning their diplomas are Kayla Frei, Tayler Heitman, Shawn Leaonard, Taylor Nuxoll, Tyler Ross, Garrett Schmidt, Nick Shears, Karissa Terhaar, Cody Tillinghast, Derek VanderPas and Daniel Wemhoff. Ceremonies will get underway in the high school gym at 7 p.m. Former principal Randy Brown will be the Commencement Speaker. The class colors are purple and silver with the class flower being a tiger lily. The class song is “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts. The class motto is “We are a lot like a box of crayons, some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, while others bright, some have weird names, but we have all learned to live together in the same box.” |
