Ralyn Horton was awarded the honor of being named the June Employee of the Month for St. Mary’s Hospital. 
Ralyn began her career with SMH in 2004 as a Medical Records Clerk; currently
she is a Referral Coordinator. As a Referral Coordinator; Ralyn coordinates
specialty physician and community resource consults as recommended by the
patient’s provider. She also helps patients who need to go to other
facilities for more tests or procedures by setting up the appointments,
sending appropriate information and helping with any follow-up services.
“Ralyn is very efficient in what she does and is one step ahead of everyone as she knows what needs to get done before she is even asked,” commented a co-worker. “The doctors really appreciate her knowledge, she is always cheerful and is very nice to work with, and she will help you out even if it doesn’t pertain to her job duties,” When asked what she likes best about her job, Ralyn responded, “I enjoy the medical profession and I like to help people. I am lucky enough to get both in this job. And I love the people I work with, I could not ask for a better group to have as co-workers.” Ralyn attended the University of Idaho and worked at Deaconess and Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital as a Certified Child Life Specialist. Ralyn and her husband Marcus have four children; Kadyn, Mia, Isabel and Macord. “With four very active children I don’t have time for hobbies,” laughed Ralyn. |
