On June 17, St. Mary’s Ambulance Crew, Cottonwood Police and Fire Departments and Idaho County Sheriff’s Dispatch  worked together on an interagency Incident drill.  The scenario was a two-car, six-passenger accident.  The drill was held at the Prairie football field.  St. Mary’s Ambulance EMT’s Tom Seubert and Charlotte Dasenbrock are getting prepared to help one of the victims. St. Mary’s Hospital sponsored an evening Fun Run/Walk on June 12th which earned $300 to help benefit the Relay for Life.  Forty-four runners/walkers participated in the 5K race.  1st place winner was Lance Abernathy from Lewiston, 2nd place was Marci Stapleton from Nezperce and 3rd place was Darra Snyder from Kamiah.  A random drawing was also held at the end of the race and winners received a variety of gifts ranging from cups to re-usable grocery bags. Race organizers, Trina Geis and Brandi Polumsky are planning on doing another evening fun run/walk in October.  Shown are the runners/walkers receiving final instructions prior to the start. Installation is progressing at Prairie Bowl in Craigmont. The synthetic overlays are down on the lanes and 8 of the 10 machines were in place as of June Picnic Saturday. An open house once the work is finished is planned sometime in July. Click on the photo for a larger view.
