Hydrants to be flushed
The Cottonwood Volunteer Fire Department will be flushing water lines through the fire hydrants on Monday, July 15, 2013.
This is to ensure that the water lines do not collect sediment in the valves and that they are functional. Water users can expect some sediment in their water, however the water remains safe but users may not wish to use it for washing laundry, etc. until it clears up-usually in a short amount of time.  Users can speed up this process by opening a cold water tap to help flush the lines.
The city regrets any inconvenience and asks for people’s patience if the water experiences such sediment.
