Volume
3 in the works
The Historical Museum at St. Gertrude has announced an upcoming third volume to “Our Story,” the recently released collection of first-person histories that celebrates Cottonwood’s sesquicentennial. The stories are written by local families about their ancestors’ lives in the Cottonwood, Ferdinand, Greencreek, and Keuterville areas. The first two volumes are now in their third printing and the books’ success has inspired a third volume. “The response has been overwhelming,” says Debra Graham, a Museum staff member. “People are excited about it because it’s about them.” Submissions are now being accepted for the third volume. Because of limited editorial resources, all articles must follow certain submission guidelines. These can be obtained at the Historical Museum at St. Gertrude or by emailing Debra at dgraham@stgertrudes.org. Submission guidelines will also be available at Raspberry Festival on Sunday, August 4, in front of the Museum. The Historical Museum at St. Gertrude is located at 465 Keuterville Road, Cottonwood and is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30-4:30. The two volumes of the 150 Year Story. Submissions are now being invited for a third volume. |
