The weather cooperated at the Raspberry Festival Sunday
as they tried something different and had burgers and the traditional raspberry
shortcake desserts on the front lawn rather than in the high school gym.
The lower photo shows the dessert booth. More Raspberry Festival photos

Many have asked, “what’s going on at the Chronicle?”
About a year ago Seth Chaffee was looking for an Eagle Scout project and
pitched the idea of landscaping the grass patch in front of the Chronicle.
He got the resources together and with the help of his father, Kevin Chaffee,
and fellow Boy Scouts, got the project done this summer. He tells us the
tree is a flowering variety and should get no taller than about 20 feet.
Thanks Seth, it looks great! Click on the photo for a larger view.
