The Fair is over for another year and what an event it was. It is so great to see the support shown by each community in the county to make it such a success. That's what makes this area so special. Thank you, Idaho County Fair Board and all the volunteers that make this happen. Deserving the honor for their many years of dedication not only to the fair but throughout the community is Grand Marshall's Ivan and Dina Nuxoll. Job well done! Congratulations to the Idaho County Fair Royalty and our own Queen Whitney Sonnen for a wonderful job representing the county throughout the year. You made us proud. Also, congratulations to all the candidates competing for the new 2014 royalty. Each of you were winners. However, the honor was awarded to Queen Holly Uhlorn, Princess Maria Munger and Emily McHugh. What an privilege to represent the largest County in Idaho. We recently received news from Library Board member Jane Burgess that her medical procedure went well. However, during this time, her husband Roger suffered a mild stroke and was hospitalized also. If things go well they should be returning home soon. Those of you who have inquired about Board member Jan Schnider, who suffered a severe stroke and was taken to Portland to be near family. She is in rehab and receiving therapy. They are now on the shelf and ready to be checked out. A new Bible was recently turned into the Lost and Found department of the library. If it is yours please contact the library and identify. It is nearing Bräts and Brew time so be thinking about those prize winning recipes for sausage and various mouth watering entries. The date this year is October 26th and once again music and entertainment will be provided by The Coffee Twins and the Satins. . |
