Harvest is over. It’s that time of year again. Do you have your Sausage or Home Brew Ready? How about those delicious German food recipes? Have you chosen which one to prepare for the contest? The 5th Annual Bräts and Brew is less than a month away. October 26th is the date. Tickets are available at the library or by contacting any board member. Tables may be reserved in advance by calling the library. The kraut is ready, thanks to the Duman sisters. All that is needed now is the participation by you, the patrons. Each contestant is offered a free dinner ticket. The winner of each category receives $50 in prize money. Entries are available at the library. Entries have to be submitted by Monday, Oct. 21. The 5 categories are Home made Sausage* Beer*Salads/Side Dish* Bread and Dessert. Winners are chosen by the guests. Home made sauerkraut, and scalloped potatoes are furnished by the library board. There will be a silent and live auction of donations from merchants and individuals, followed by music and entertainment by the popular band, The Coffey Twins and the Satins from Newport WA. It is a fun filled evening supporting an important program in the community. Get your tickets early for only 200 tickets will be sold. |
