Flu season is just around the corner-time to get your flu shot! Cottonwood Clinic: October 8-9-10 from 8:30 to noon and on October 28 from 8:30 to 5:00 Kamiah Clinic: October 8-9-10 from 8:30 to noon Craigmont Clinic: October 25 from 8:00 to noon There will be an Open House to meet Pat Branco the new CEO for both St. Mary’s and Clearwater Valley Hospitals on October 11th from 2:00 to 3:30 in the SMH cafeteria. The October meetings of the St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics Diabetes Support Groups will be held on Tuesday, October 15th from 1:00 to 3:00 at the Kamiah Bible Church and on Wednesday, October 16th from noon to 3:00 at Oscar’s Restaurant on Main Street.; there will be a no host lunch from noon to 1:00 at Oscar’s followed by the meeting at 1:00 The topic will be “Help for Visually Impaired”. The Healthy Horizons weight management classes will be held on October 15th in the Kamiah Clinic and October 17th in the Cottonwood Clinic. Confidential weigh-in is at 5:30 and presentations begin at 6:00. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. SMH wants to remind women of the importance of screening and the early detection of breast cancer. A mammogram, the screening test for breast cancer, can help find breast cancer early. Mammograms will be offered in Cottonwood on October 23rd; call 962-3267 to schedule an appointment. They will also be offered at the Grangeville Clinic on October 30th; call 983-6027 to schedule a mammogram in Grangeville. Remember; early detection can save lives. |
