Students of the month for December at Prairie Jr./Sr. High School are shown. From left are Sydney Bruner, Jr. High Student of the month and Brooks Arnzen and Sarah Seubert, high school students of the month. Sydney works hard in class and has a positive attitude.  Good grades are important to her, and she puts effort into every class.  She is also always willing to help others. Brooks comes to class ready to work, usually gets done early and has a great attitude.  In addition to school, he holds a part time job. Sarah is a great student, who makes you feel like a million bucks as an instructor. She always smiles and has a great attitude. She gets right to work and asks great questions. Reid Uptmor was named the Idaho 6th grade winner in the State Department of Education Christmas card contest. His card can be found on this website: http://www.sde.idaho.gov/site/media_center/  Reid made his card in Mrs. Sonesa Lundmark's art class. 



Citizenship Washington Focus (CWF) 4-H candidates Gabe Forsmann, Laina & Paul Sonnen, Bailie Gehring, and Lauren Alfrey have been busy assisting the Monastery of St. Gertrudes with stuffing Christmas envelopes.  They wanted to share their income within Idaho County, thanking everyone for their generous support with their ongoing fundraisers. Pictured above are Gabe Forsmann donating $50 to the Grangeville Senior Center Nutrition Program benefiting both the Grangeville & Cottonwood Senior Centers; Laina, Bailie, & Lauren with Zara Hasselstrom donating $50 to the Cottonwood Food Bank;  and with Stacey Jackson donating $50 to the St. Mary’s Angel Tree. The CWF group will be at the Santa Cabana on Sunday, December 22, 2013, during and after the Cottonwood Christmas Light parade with warm food and drinks.  Please continue to support these kids in their 2015 endeavor to Washington DC. Prairie 7th grade took the Kamiah tournament this past Saturday with wins over Clearwater Valley and Orofino.  Team members are: Garrett Crenshaw, Carson Schmidt, Paul Sonnen, Tayler Ott, Brylee Woods, Dylan Schumacher, Devin Ross, and Spencer Schumacher.
