The Historical Museum at St. Gertrude will be open 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. December 26, 27, 28 and January 2, 3, 4. The Museum will be closed Christmas Eve and Day and New Year's Eve and Day. The Historical Museum at St. Gertrude houses a treasure of artifacts showcasing the history of north central Idaho. View special exhibits, including the story of the Benedictine Sisters, the Nez Perce people, Polly Bemis and Buckskin Bill. Discover the Rhoades Emmanuel Gallery – a collection of rare, exquisite Asian and European artifacts dating to the 14th century. The Historical Museum at St. Gertrude is located at the century-old, Monastery of St. Gertrude in Cottonwood, Idaho. Situated on 150 acres of forest land, in the heart of the scenic Camas Prairie, visitors to the Museum experience history amid spectacular views of the Salmon River canyon, Gospel-Hump Wilderness and Seven Devils mountain peaks. |
