Idaho donates digital keyboard to school music program
Ride Idaho came through the area a second time !Perhaps not literally, but figuratively. After this year’s Ride Idaho event in northern Idaho, the group contacted Cottonwood Police Chief Terry Cochran and asked for a project that they could assist in funding, to give a little more back to the community. After researching several causes, it was determined that the Prairie High School band desperately needed a digital piano keyboard. This need was submitted to the Ride Idaho staff, who agreed to purchase the keyboard for the school. Without the support of Ride Idaho this piece of equipment would have never been available to our youth, and we thank you for the $1,000 donation. In the photo above Prairie Band teacher John Eynon and Cottonwood Police Chief Terry Cochran accept the donated keyboard for the Prairie School District. In addition to the Keyboard, Ride Idaho also donated 50 tickets to the Potato Bowl at Bronco stadium. Several tickets were given to local emergency responders and the remainder was donated to the Prairie boosters as a fundraiser at the Idaho County Shootout basketball game. Ride Idaho is an annual, seven-day, fully supported bicycle tour featuring different regions of the state each year. 350 riders experience Idaho's nostalgia, beauty and hospitality over the course of 400 miles. Rider fees go toward Ride Idaho’s goals of providing a positive economic impact to its host communities, promoting healthy, active lifestyles and raising awareness of safe cycling.
