Republicans honor Chmelik
Idaho County Commissioner Jim Chmelik accepted the Idaho GOP Hall of Fame Award for “Outstanding Elected Official” at their annual winter meeting in Boise. When presenting the award, the State Central Committee commended commissioner Chmelik for his leadership and dedication in traveling all around the State of Idaho to educate citizens of our rights to federally controlled lands. Commissioner Chmelik accepted stating, “I am grateful to be recognized for this effort. It means so much to me that my party is behind me on this issue. I have so much work ahead of me and I am humbled to know it’s important to the Idaho Republican Party, where my heart is.” Chmelik is a 53 year old father of 8, a business owner, and Commissioner of Idaho County. Commissioner Chmelik and his wife, Colleen, have been married for 25 years and reside in Cottonwood. |
