Agee
is January employee of the month
Rosemary Agee, LPN has been chosen as the first 2014 Employee of the month for SMH. Rosemary works in all the different clinics and has worked for St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics since 2005. She received her LPN license from Spokane Community College. The majority of her day consists of maintaining medical records, providing patient care in the clinics and assisting the providers and nursing staff. “Rosemary exemplifies the values of SMH; she is friendly to everyone and is a model employee,” commented a co-worker. “She is always striving to find more efficient ways for the clinic to run; for example she has made changes to the schedule to improve patient flow. Rosemary is a very knowledgeable nurse and her years of experience are very evident; she does a wonderful job educating patients. She never complains when she has to do some of the unpleasant tasks that occur in the healthcare setting. Children especially love Rosemary and she is always willing to hold the ill baby that needs a little extra TLC.” “When my father died in 1957 my mother became a single parent of 6 children. Even though she was a high school graduate, she had been a stay-at-home mom for years and found it hard to find work. Because of her experience I knew I wanted to a profession or life skill,” said Rosemary when asked why she became an LPN. “Nursing was the answer for me, it has been a decision I have never regretted. I thoroughly enjoy my job.” “My job here is the best,” commented Rosemary. “My co-workers are nice caring people and working with Megan Wilson is a pleasure; she is an excellent provider and exceptional person. Medicine and nursing is always changing and evolving, there are new challenges all the time and it is never boring.” When not busying taking care of patients; Rosemary enjoys gardening and reading. Rosemary and her husband Mike have two sons, one daughter and six grandchildren. |
