Seubert-McDonough
is guest speaker
Catholicism 101 is a meeting held every other Tuesday evening after 06:30 pm Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic church. The meetings are a way for people to discuss different topics and questions that they may have regarding the church. Topics for future meetings are based on participant's questions. Past topics have been Angels, the Saints, the beatitudes, just to name a few. The topic for our next meeting on Tuesday Feb. 11, is “Prayer, Praise and Healing”. Cherie Seubert-McDonough has been leading Pilgrimages and retreats centered around healing prayer for years and years. She taught religious education here on the Prairie for several years. Although Cherie and her husband Nick participate in many ministries probably what they are best known for is organizing and participating in the pilgrimages to Rome. They also lead a group in “Praise-Prayer & Healing” on a regular basis. Their next meeting is Wednesday the 5th at 7:00 pm at Nick and Cherie’s house. The question that spurred the topic for the 11th was; “does the Catholic church support charismatic worship?” Come and learn more about this and enjoy some refreshments. “Cherie is a speaker that I can listen to for hours and hours” One of her former students said. Don’t worry Catholicism 101 last about an hour. If you’d like to participate in Catholicism 101 but can’t make it to 6:30 pm Mass, that’s fine. Just meet in the back of St Mary’s Catholic Church at 7:00 pm. |
