Patriots at State
The Prairie Pirates and Summit Patriots have both qualified for the State Tournament in Caldwell this week. Prairie is the 1-A, Div. 1 champions from District 2 and will play District 4-5-6 runner-up Glenns Ferry at 1:15 MST Thursday, March 6 at Vallivue High School in Caldwell. They will play either Genesee or Notus, who play Thursday at 3 p.m., in their second round game, which would be at 6:15 p.m. Friday if they win or 1:15 p.m. Friday if they lose. Lapwai plays Butte County at 6:15 p.m. while Liberty Charter and Challis play at 8 p.m. Summit was the 1-A, Div. 2, District 2 runner-up and advanced by beating District 1 champion Kootenai in a play-in game. They will play District 5-6 champion Rockland at 1:15 p.m. MST at Caldwell High School. If they win they play the Dietrich-Ambrose winner at 1:15 p.m. Friday and they would play at 6:15 p.m. if they lose. In the other half of the bracket Kendrick plays Cascade at 6:15 p.m and defending champion Salmon River plays Carey at 8 p.m. State brackets are below. All times listed are Mountain Standard Time. |
