Friends
of NRA event set for May 2
Camas Prairie Friends of NRA annual event will be held Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Greencreek Community Hall. Doors open at 5:30 and you must purchase your tickets before the event. In fact, if you purchase your tickets before April 4 you will be entered to win a gun. Camas Prairie Friends of NRA is a chapter of the Friends of NRA, the nonprofit part of the NRA. FNRA gives earned money in the form of grants to nonprofit organizations to help promote shooting sports and gun safety. This past year the Idaho County Sheriff’s office was awarded $1350.00 for a shooting safety program, Jack O’Connor Hunting Heritage and Education Center received $16798.00 for a Hunter Education Challenge Program. This year there were forty grant applications for the $324,000.00 the Idaho FNRA had to disburse. Several organizations from Lewiston to Riggins have benefited from this program. Our committee volunteers will be out asking for underwriting, contributions and local support for this worthy event. Each contributor will be highlighted on a power point display as well as on item cards during the auctions and games because all the support we get is truly appreciated. We will be seeing people from the Camas Prairie to Riggins to Orofino, Kooskia, Kamiah, Nezperce, Craigmont and beyond. So mark your calendars and try and buy your tickets before April 4, but if you aren’t sure yet you can purchase up to the day of the event. Our number is limited so don’t wait too long. To get tickets call Rae Bros Sporting Goods, Kooskia Feed or visit www.friendsoffnra.org/id. |
