Uhlenkott, Spencer earn wins
Lucas Arnzen won all three sprints at the Border War Track Meet held at Lapwai Saturday, April 12. He won the 100 in 11.74, the 200 in 23.83 and the 400 in 52.84. Also picking up a win for the boys team was Peter Spencer in the 3200 with a personal best time (by about 20 seconds) of 10:05.68. Spencer also took 2nd in the 1600 in 4:44.23. For the girls team Krystin Uhlenkott took first in the 200 meter dash in 28.19, the long jump at 154 and anchored the 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams to wins. The 4x200 team of Keely Schmidt, Shayla VonBargen, Mykaela McWilliams and Uhlenkott had a winning time of 1:54.03 while the 4x400 team of Schmidt, McWilliams, Chaye Uptmor and Uhlenkott had a time of 4:29.41. Other boys results are: Isaiah Shears was 4th in the 400 in 56.55, 10th in the 100 in 12.68 and 9th in the 200 in 26.04. Bryson Higgins was 9th in the 100 in 12.47, 11th in the 200 in 26.14, and 18th in the long jump at 152. Drew Cochran was 7th in the 3200 in 11:40.82, 15th in the 1600 in 5:31.79 and 12th in the shot put at 330. Dakota Wilson was 4th in the shot put at 373 and 12th in the discus at 915. Westin Crenshaw was 7th in the shot at 357 and 10th in the discus at 939. Ricardo Dominguez was 8th in the 3200 in 12:05.39, 11th in the 800 in 2:31.13 and 17th in the 1600 in 5:38.89. Dally Ratcliff was 4th in the 300 hurdles in 54.95 and 12th in the triple jump at 314¼. Austin Sonnen was 17th in the 800 in 2:43.11 and 22nd in the 1600 in 6:24.81. Ryan Glimp was 13th in the triple jump at 2910¼ and 19th in the discus at 804. Andrew Everson was 10th in the shot at 335 and 29th in the discus at 681. Matt Schwartz was 13th in the shot at 3211½. Lucas Wemhoff was 15th in the long jump at 154½. In the medley relay the team of Bryson Higgins, Glimp, Wemhoff and Ratcliff took third in 4:40.21. The 4x400 team of Wemhoff, Sonnen, Dominguez and Schwartz took fourth in 4:32.50. The 4x200 team of Wilson, Glimp, Wemhoff and Schwartz took 5th in 1:44.85. The 4x100 team of Wilson, Cochran, Crenshaw and Schwartz took 6th in 53.00. As a team the boys placed third out of 15 teams with 86 points. Other girls results: VonBargen took 2nd in the 400 at 1:09.07, 7th in the 200 in 30.43 and 8th in the high jump at 40. McWilliams was 2nd in the 100 hurdles in 17.86 and third in the 300 hurdles in 54.82. Brandy Gehring was 5th in the high jump at 44, 7th in the 300 hurdles in 1:00.28 and 9th in the 100 hurdles in 20.73. Uptmor was 3rd in the 800 in 2:36.13. Schmidt was 3rd in the 100 in 29.28. Sydney Glimp was 9th in the discus at 6810, 11th in the shot at 2211 and 12th in the 800 in 3:15.98. Bailie Gehring was 14th in the discus at 543, 16th in the shot put at 198 and 20th in the 100 in 17.12. Nicole Poxleitner wa s13th in the 1600 in 8:17.40. The 4x100 relay team of Schmidt, Brandi Gehring, Poxleitner and Bailie Gehring was third in 58.98. As a team the girls placed 2nd behind Asotin with 88½ points.
