win 4 of 5; Rain postpones more games
The Prairie baseball team won 4 of 5 games played this past week, all
of them league games. . . .
Prairie's baseball games this week at Kendrick, April 24 and at Troy
April 25 have been postponed due to weather. . . .
The April 28 doubleheader with Highland has been moved to Friday,
May 2 at 3 p.m. at Cottonwood due to bad field conditions.

Pirates split 2 games; Rain forces postponements
The Prairie Lady Pirates played just 2 games this past week, losing
a league game to Genesee 4-10 on Tuesday, April 15, then winning a non-league
game against C.V. Monday, April 21 12-0 as Leah Holthaus tossed a no-hitter.

The games scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday this week have both been
postponed due to rain. Prairie will play Troy May 3 at 11 .m. and Highland
May 6 at 4:30 p.m. . . .

Peter Spencer swept all three distance races at the Kamiah Invitational
Track Meet Saturday, April 19 while Lucas Arnzen won both the 200 and 400,
Krystin Uhlenkott won the long jump, Mykaela McWilliams won the 100 hurdles

Story Time at Prairie Community Library with “Miss Pollyanna,” who makes

Suzanne Williams, daughter of Jay and Carol Williams
(Tempe, AZ.) and granddaughter of Martin and Florence Nuxoll, will graduate
May 12, 2014 from the Barrett Honors College of Arizona State University
with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Armed with her research in Carbon
Molecular Sieve Membranes, Suzanne plans to pursue innovations in "green"
technologies.
