Arnzen, Uhlenkott, McWilliams and Gehring pick up wins
Peter Spencer swept all three distance races at the Kamiah Invitational Track Meet Saturday, April 19 while Lucas Arnzen won both the 200 and 400, Krystin Uhlenkott won the long jump, Mykaela McWilliams won the 100 hurdles and Brandi Gehring won the high jump. The girls also won the 4x100 relay. Spencer won the 3200 in 10:25.47, the 1600 in 4:55.30 and the 800 in 2:08.94. Arnzen won the 200 in 23.98, the 400 in 52.95 and was second in the 100 in 11.78. Uhlenkott won the long jump at 1511. She was also third in the 200 in 27.88. McWilliams won the 100 hurdles in 16.87 and was second in the 300 hurdles in 51.29. Gehring won the high jump at 46 edging out teammate Shayla VonBargen, who also cleared 46 on fewer misses. She was also 4th in the 100 hurdles in 18.59 and 6th in the 300 hurdles in 59.13. The 4x100 team of Keely Schmidt, VonBargen, McWilliams and Uhlenkott won in 53.38. Other boys results saw Bryson Higgins take 6th in the 200 in 26.06. He was 13th in the 100 prelims in 12.78 and 7th in the long jump at 165½. Drew Cochran was 3rd in the 1600 in 5:18.43, 4th in the 3200 in 11:31.64 and 13th in the shot put at 334 Ricardo Dominguez was 6th in the 800 in 2:29.69, 7th in the 1600 in 5:57.38 and 6th in the 3200 in 12:24.4. Dally Ratcliff was third in the 300 hurdles in 53.22 and 15th in the triple jump at 307. Brandon Higgins was 13th in the long jump at 135 and 14th in the triple jump at 309. Dakota Wilson was 4th in the shot put at 407 and 9th in the discus at 990. Westin Crenshaw was 7th in the shot at 372½ and 6th in the discus at 1130. A.J. Everson was 16th in the shot at 319¼ and 20th in the discus at 814. Ryan Glimp was 18th in the discus at 827 and 17th in the triple jump at 2911. The 4x100 relay team of Wilson, Cochran, Crenshaw and Everson was 6th in 57.82. The 4x200 team of Wilson, Glimp, Lucas Wemhoff and Brandon Higgins was 5th in 1:52.85. The 4x400 team of Glimp, Brandon Higgins, Ratcliff and Wemhoff was 5th in 4:10.45. As a team the boys place 3rd out of 9 schools with 111 points. For the girls, Schmidt was 7th in the 200 in 29.32. Heidi Holubetz was 2nd in the shot put at 3110 and 4th in the discus at 9110. Beka Bruner was 6th in the 3200 in 15:33.0. Nicole Poxleitner was 7th in the 400 in 1:18.65 and 15th in the 100 in 15.50. Bailie Gehring was 17th in the 100 in 16.15, 18th in the discus at 566 and 20th in the shot at 199¾. Beth Dinning was 10th in the shot at 255 and 11th in the discus at 741. Sydney Glimp was 12th in the discus at 688 and 13th in the shot at 239. The 4x400 team of Schmidt, VonBargen, McWilliams and Uhlenkott placed 2nd in 4:24.62. The 4x200 team of Schmidt, Brandi Gehring, Glimp and VonBargen was 4th in 1:59.17. As a team the girls also placed 3rd out of 10 teams, with 103 points, just 4 points out of first.
White Pine Meet rescheduled The White Pine League Championship Meet which was to be held Tuesday, April 22 at Lapwai has been rescheduled to Monday, April 28.
