breaks school record in 400
Lucas Arnzen broke the school record in the 400 meter dash at the White Pine Meet Tuesday, April 28 at Lapwai. Prairie also competed at the Nezperce/Lewis & Clark Games at Kamiah Friday, April 25. She won the long jump with a mark of 146½ and the triple jump with a mark of 321. She picked up 2 more wins by anchoring the 4x100 and 4x200 meter relay teams to wins. Keely Schmidt, Shayla VonBargen, Mykaela McWilliams and Uhlenkott won the 4x100 in 53.95 and the same group won the 4x200 relay in 1:54.45. McWilliams also won the 300 hurdles in 50.73 and was second in the 100 hurdles in 17.57. The girls team also won the medley relay as Schmidt, Brandi Gehring, Nicole Poxleitner and VonBargen turned in a time of 2:10.48. The boys team had wins in just 2 events. Peter Spencer won the 3200 in 10:35.25 and the team of Bryson Higgins, Isaiah Shears, Lucas Arnzen and Spencer won the medley relay in 3:55.63. Other girls results: Brandi Gehring was 2nd in the high jump at 46, 3rd in the 100 hurdles in 18.82 and 5th in the 300 hurdles in 1:02.98. Beka Bruner was 4th in the 3200 in 15:30.04 and 7th in the 1600 in 7:09.10. Chaye Uptmor was 5th in the 800 in 2:54.4 and 12th in the 200 in 32.06. VonBargen was 3rd in the high jump at 46. Heidi Holubetz was 7th in the shot at 2710 and 10th in the discus at 7211. Poxleitner was 12th in the 100 in 15.16 and 12th in the 400 in 1:19.61. Schmidt was 5th in the 200 in 29.39. Beth Dinning was 9th in the shot at 257 and 13th in the discus at 671. Bailie Gehring was 18th in the 100 in 16.44, 14th in the shot at 205 and 16th in the discus at 589. Emily McHugh was 15th in the shot at 189 and 17th in the discus at 584. As a team the girls were 2nd out of 9 teams with 109 points, just 9 behind first place Grangeville. Other boys results: Arnzen was third in the 100 in 11.81 and 10th in the shot at 360. Drew Cochran was 2nd in the 3200 in 11:27.61, 4th in the 1600 in 5:19.91 and 15th in the shot at 323½. Ricardo Dominguez was 4th in the 3200 in 11:58.14 and 7th in the 1600 in 5:29.22. Matt Schwartz was 5th in the 400 in 1:01.20, 22nd in the 200 in 27.67 and 13th in the shot at 339. Westin Crenshaw was 6th in the shot at 382 and 10th in the discus at 1002. Bryson Higgins was 6th in the long jump at 177. Shears was 14th in the 100 in 12.57 and 19th in the 200 in 27.06. Brandon Higgins was 10th in the triple jump at 309½, 16th in the long jump at 1310 and 13th in the 400 in 1:07.75. Dakota Wilson was 8th in the shot at 372 and 9th in the discus at 1015. Andrew Everson was 17th in the shot at 320 and 18th in the discus at 758. Ryan Glimp was 13th in the triple jump at 2811½ and 12th in the 400 in 1:07.71. Lucas Wemhoff was 10th in the long jump at 161 and 18th in the 200 in 26.56. The 4x100 relay team of Bryson Higgins, Lucas Wemhoff, Shears and Arnzen was third in 48.89. The 4x200 relay team of Wilson, Glimp, Brandon Higgins and Wemhoff was 4th in 1:54.84. As a team the boys place 4th out of 10 teams with 68 points. Mykaela McWilliams won both hurdles races, winning the 100 hurdles in 17.43 and the 300 hurdles in 48.81. Krystin Uhlenkott won the long jump with a mark of 155½ and was 2nd in the triple jump with a mark of 3110. She was also 2nd in the 200 in 27.63. Isaiah Shears was 13th in the 100 in 12.38 Lucas Wemhoff was 21st in the 100 in 12.92 and 8th in the long jump at 157. Ryan Glimp was 23rd in the 200 in 30.06, 16th in the discus at 821 and 13th in the triple jump at 281. Matt Schwartz was 13th in the 400 in 1:01.71 and 7th in the shot put at 358. Drew Cochran was 6th in the 1600 in 5:16.82, 5th in the 3200 in 11:27.41 and 13th in the shot put at 306½. Dakota Wilson was 4th in the shot put at 3611 and 10th in the discus at 9811. Westin Crenshaw was 8th in the shot at 353½ and 7th in the discus at 10311. Andrew Everson was 17th in the shot put at 301 and 19th in the discus at 793. Bryson Higgins was 10th in the long jump at 148. Brandon Higgins was 11th in the long jump at 142½ and 11th in the triple jump at 293½. The 4x100 relay team of Bryson Higgins, Shears, Wemhoff and Brandon Higgins was 4th in 51.99. The 4x200 team of Bryson Higgins, Shears, Wilson and Cochran was 6thin 1:46.75. The 4x400 team of Wilson, Schwartz, Glimp and Crenshaw was 8th in 4:28.07. The medley team of Bryson Higgins, Shears, Wemhoff and Schwartz was 5th in 4:14.41. As a team the boys placed 5th with 72 points. Other girls results: Chaye Uptmor was 4th in the 400 in 1:11.37. Nicole Poxleitner was 15th in the 100 in 15.33, 9th in the 200 in 32.53 and 7th in the 400 in 1:18.87. Bailie Gehring was 17th in the 100 in 16.33, 21st in the shot at 198½ and 19th in the discus at 572. Keely Schmidt was 6th in the 200 in 29.54. Heidi Holubetz was 3rd in the shot put at 302½ and 13th in the discus at 698. Sydney Glimp was 16th in the shot put at 216 and 20th in the discus at 567. Shayla VonBargen was tied for second in the high jump at 46. The 4x100 team of Schmidt, McWilliams, VonBargen and Uhlenkott placed 1st with a time of 53.09. The 4x200 team of Schmidt, VonBargen, Uptmor and McWilliams was 1st with a time of 1:56.13. The 4x400 team of Schmidt, VonBargen, Poxleitner and Uptmor was 2nd in 4:42.13. As a team the girls tied for 2nd place with Logos with 97 points.
