is hospital employee of the month
“Kim does everything with a smile and a positive attitude” said a co-worker when she was describing Kim Bixby, the  May
Employee of the Month for St. Mary’s Hospital. She went on to say,
“Kim worked so hard on our employee appreciation week; she went above and
beyond at work and on her personal time.”
Kim began her career with St. Mary’s Hospital two years ago; she is a Human Resource Generalist and Payroll Coordinator. “I decided to work in Human Resource because I wanted to help people and interact with them on a daily basis,” said Kim. “I wanted to make a difference with the employees and help organizations with productivity and making every place a great place to work.” Kim is responsible for processing payroll for both St. Mary’s and Clearwater Valley Hospitals. She handles day-to-day employee issues and questions and is also responsible for keeping updated employee records, benefits administration and new hire orientation and paperwork. “There are so many things I love about my job,” commented Kim. “I have a wonderful boss, my co-workers are the best and I couldn’t ask for better people to be around. I love the challenges I receive on a daily basis from employees and supervisors.” Kim received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management and General Business from Boise State University in December of 2011. In her time away from the office Kim shows and trains Paint Horses. “I moved from Boise to a small town in Northern Idaho, and that along with working for SMH were the best decisions I have ever made,” Kim said. “The community was so welcoming and wonderful. I love St. Mary’s and think it is truly the best place to work.” Kim and her husband Doug live in Grangeville and were married last fall. |
