Boosters
Bulletin
The Booster club would like to announce some of the yearly winners for our end of year Booster awards. Receiving the Student Booster of the year award: The Pirate Sports Media Group of Clark Bruno, Drew Cochran, Dakota Wilson and Apolonio Enriquez. Their dedication to broadcasting student sports and helping even a broader fan base view the games was outstanding. Thanks Gentlemen. Receiving the #1 Fan Award: Father Meinrad, who came to so many home games and showed positive sportsmanship and great encouragement to all or our students and athletes. Thank you for your continued support. Booster of the Year: This award goes to Roy and Denise Uhlenkott this year. Seeing them at so many sporting events cheering for our Prairie teams, Burning burgers at the burger barn and helping clean up afterwards along with their support of all academic and athletic endeavors at the Prairie Schools was greatly appreciated. As you notice people in the community doing good things for our students, please take note and nominate them for these awards each spring. We had some great nominations and would like to thank all the people out there that are making valuable contributions to our students and our schools. Each and every one of you is making a difference. Thanks. (Photos on main page). Glenn Poxleitner Booster raffling off 4-wheeler The Prairie Booster Club is currently selling tickets for a Polaris 400 4-wheeler. Only 350 tickets are being sold for $50 per ticket. The 4- wheeler which is valued at approximately $5000 will be handed to the lucky winner as soon as we can sell the tickets. We are closing in on half the tickets sold so far. Proceeds from the drawing will be directed towards student academic and athletic support for the coming school year. The booster club’s most recent investment was for some needed science equipment that was not in the budget at the High School. We are looking at putting some investment of funds into some basketball equipment that would help our teams for years to come. Each coach and or teacher has been asked to help us find ways to help them improve their programs. We support academic and athletic programs Kindergarten through 12th grade. So if you have ever wanted a new 4-wheeler or know someone you would like to give a gift to. Please join us in this fundraising event. The option of paying in the extra money to upgrade to a different model or a Ranger or other vehicle is available. If you would like tickets please stop by Buds Saw Service or contact Glenn Poxleitner at 983-4190 or Denise Uhlenkott or Linda Nida. Tickets are also for sale at the Cottonwood Credit Union. Thank you for your support. Glenn Poxleitner |
