County Fair Royalty Float is Best of Show
The 2014 Idaho County Fair Parade was a success; there were over 40 entries varying from royalty to miniature horses to 4-H groups. The Fair Board would like to thank everyone who entered the parade and also everyone who helped to make it such a success. Thanks to the Hang Out for allowing the parade to use their parking lot for the lineup, Collette Schaeffer and Sheri Daly for helping with the sign in, Pat Holthaus, Lynn Guyer and Ed Holthaus for helping with the line-up, Pat Holthaus for announcing, the Lion’s Club for the use of their sound system, Hoene Hardware for letting us hook up the sound system in front of their store, to Bud’s for loaning out two of their side by sides for the Fair Board to ride in and special thanks to the Coyote Mule Company for driving the Grand Marshal in their mule drawn wagon. The Fair Board would also like to thank the Prairie football team who cleaned up after the parade. The winners of the parade are as follows: Commercial: 1st-St. Mary’s Hospital; 2nd-Syringa Hospital; 3rd-Gortsema Motors Non-Profit: 1st-Color Guard and VFW; 2nd-Grand Marshals/Coyote Mule Company; 3rd-Prairie League Royalty: 1st-Idaho County Royalty; 2nd-Lewis County Royalty; 3rd-Past Idaho County Royalty Equestrian: 1st-Riggins Rodeo; 2nd-Central Idaho Rodeo Association; 3rd-Border Days Rodeo Best of Show: Idaho County Royalty 
This being the 80th anniversary of the Fair, past royalty were invited to ride in the parade. Shown above are both sides of the float.
