We will look at some of the more advanced tools and options found in one of the most popular professional photo-editing software. We will see how to retouch and make your pictures look brighter, warmer and better! NOTE: If you’re looking for a class that’s a little closer to home, A Photoshop class will also be held in Grangeville on October 20th& 22nd. Plein Air Sunflowers Sat., Sept. 20th; 2-5 pm By: Kim Kidd-Rodriguez; Cost: $25 At: Instructor’s Home in Grangeville Enjoy an afternoon painting “EnPlein Air” – a French term for painting outdoors. Made popular by the Impressionists, the goal of Plein Air painting is to capture the artist’s emotional experience with the natural world through color, light, shadow and simplified subjects. In this class, you’ll learn techniques to help take the mystery out of this wonderful art form and experience the fellowship of creating art together outdoors. Students will bring their favorite art medium: watercolor, acrylic or oil paint and brushes, etc. or dry media such as oil pastel, chalk pastel or colored pencils. High quality watercolor paper (suitable for most media listed) and a value filter tool are included in the materials fee. In just one evening, you’ll learn how to find a site, the options you may want to pay for, tips for choosing a background and format, how to upload pictures and link your blog to your Facebook and Pinterest accounts. Students must possess basic computer skills. |
