then staying alive with a 5-game win over Highland on Monday, Oct. 20.

State Superintendent of Public Instruction was at
Prairie Elementary last Friday to commend the school on being the only
one out of 711 schools in Idaho to be designated a national Blue Ribbon
School. Lined up behind him are the school’s staff and they are holding
the $20,000 check that is part of the award. Click on the photo for a larger

The two new (at least to Cottonwood) firetrucks were
picked up from Whidbey Island, Washington over the weekend. They are shown

Ingrid Mader won the Meritorious Award and the State
Champion Boys Basketball team were named the Team of the Year at the Warrior
Athletic Association High School Awards Banquet held last Wednesday, Oct.
15. Girls coach Lori Mader was a finalist for the coach of the year and
Kyndahl Ulmer was a finalist for Female Athlete of the Year. Lucas Arnzen

The Idaho Department of the Veterans of Foreign Wars
selected Harold Schacher to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.
He is receiving this prestigious award at the Veterans Day Assembly, at
Prairie Junior Senior High School, November 11, 2014. The public
is invited to congratulate Harold, and enjoy the wonderful program presented
