Hospital
to sponsor Angel Tree
For the 17th year in a row St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics will sponsor a Christmas “Angel Tree” for families in need of help getting through the holidays. Families in need are encouraged to call Stacie Jackson: 962-2326 (days) or 962-3201 (evenings). She will confidentially record the child’s name, age, gender, clothing sizes and gift request. Gift requests should not exceed $25. Names will be accepted until December 10th. A number will then be assigned to each child to protect privacy and a tag will be made with the information. The tags will be hung on the Angel Tree next to the Chapel entrance for hospital personnel and community “elves” to select. The tags will be available by Wednesday, Nov. 26th. Those generous elves then purchase the gift, attach the tag and return the unwrapped gift to Stacie at St. Mary’s Clinic by Wednesday, Dec. 17. Families can pick up the gifts on Friday, Dec. 19 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. SMH works in conjunction with the Cottonwood Food Bank to also prepare food boxes for Angel Tree Families. Food Baskets are also provided for any of our elderly residents, please contact Stacie if anyone would like to receive a food basket. “The holidays can be a tough time. SMH would like to help relieve some of the holiday stress. Community residents have been very generous in the past, not only selecting tags and purchasing gifts, but we have also received financial donations so we could purchase gifts for the tags that don’t get picked or so we can buy additional food items for the food boxes. We live in an extremely generous community. And we greatly appreciate our people,” said Jackson, the Angel Tree Coordinator. If you would like to make a financial donation for the Angel Tree Project, please send it to Stacie Jackson, c/o St. Mary’s Hospital, P.O. Box 137, Cottonwood, Idaho 83522. |
