On November 8 Boy Scout Troop 638 held a Court of Honor for four Boy Scouts receiving their Life Rank advancement. Only having less than a handful of Eagle required badges left, plus organizing an Eagle project. These boys have worked very hard to get to this point in their lives. Please continue to encourage these young men to persevere. Receiving Life Advancement are Anthony Karel, far right, Carson Schmidt, middle, Hunter Chaffee, 2nd from right and Tate Berdoy, second from left. Older scout Blaze Berdoy, far left, is currently putting the final touches on his Eagle Scout proposal. Carson received his Citizenship in the world Merit Badge. Kevin Tillinghast, not shown, received his Camping Merit Badge and all the boys received a badge for Drug Free Awareness. Thank you to the community for all your support and to the parents of these boys for always being there for them. Photo by Shari Chaffee. Troop 638 participated in their roadside cleanup on Sept. 6.
