Summit
holds Volleyball awards night
Summit Academy happily commemorated the completion of the 2014 high school girls’ volleyball season at their Volleyball Awards Banquet on Monday, November 17. Honors abounded. Energy spread. Memories ignited. The Lady Patriots ended their season 4th place in the Whitepine League. Rachel Waters and Megan Seubert made the All-League Division 1, Second Team. Ashlee Stubbers and Ally Sonnen received Honorable Mention. Megan Seubert also was selected to play in their division’s All-Star team. The entire team labored intensely throughout the autumn months, and Summit Academy thanks them for their sweat and tears. Rachel Water’s endurance and skill obtained for her the “Most Valuable Player” award. The smiles and optimism of Megan Seubert earned her “Most Inspirational Player.” Lauren Stubbers’ commitment to athletic constancy merited the “Most Improved Player.” Ally Sonnen’s “Eye of the Tiger” intensity entitled her to the “Dynamo—Go Get’em” award. The Idaho High School Activities Association (IHSAA) ranked the Summit High School Girls’ Volleyball team First Place among their division and Second Place among all high school varsity teams throughout the entire state of Idaho as they were awarded the 1A-Div. 2 Academic Award. The Lady Patriots achieved a cumulative 3.944 grade point average. Parents and major supporters attended the banquet. Special thanks extended to Coach Heidi Waters, Assistant Coach Allen Sonnen, Book-keeper and Bus Driver Michelle Sonnen. Most of all, Summit Academy gives thanks to Jesus Christ: the King and Giver of all good gifts. The Summit volleyball team at their awards banquet.
