Summit
play set for Dec. 19
Mrs. Gina Lustig sets the stage again for a live dramatization based upon O. Henry’s tale, The Gift of the Magi. For the last sixteen years, Mrs. Lustig has depicted classic Christmas stories for students to perform at Summit Academy. Some past themes have been “King of All Nations,” “Christmas around the World,” and various Christmas pageant theatrical pieces. Mrs. Lustig’s The Gift of the Magi is a country-themed story of how a poor husband and wife discover anew the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ. Mrs. Lustig hopes that children and youth who participate and attend will learn more about the preciousness of the birth of Jesus Christ. For the general public, Mrs. Lustig remarks, “I hope and pray that the play will touch our hearts and bring all of us closer to Jesus, especially during this busy time of the year.” The Gift of the Magi will be performed Friday, December 19 at 7:00 pm. The general public is invited to attend this free admission event. Summit students prepare the stage for "The Gift of the Magi.” The performance will be Friday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Summit gym.
